There’s definitely such a thing as being ‘too cool’ for school, but can you really be ‘too old’ now?
School doesn’t have an age limit, let’s be honest. There’s never a bad time to take up learning.
Dear Ellie,
I am balancing all aspects of my life decently right now, but I feel like something is missing.
Due to some coinciding factors in my early years I never completed college and for some reason have the urge to do it now.
I really want to do this for myself, but I am nervous that I am too old now. What should I do?

Dear Better Yourself-er,
Let’s get one thing straight…
YOU’RE NOT TOO OLD FOR ANYTHING.
Especially bettering yourself and your education.
That is something that you should really think highly of yourself for. There’s no need for you to go back to school and finish; but you want to and that deserves some recognition!
Now that you realize how awesome you are, take it from a former college student, no one cares.
Students are either too busy with their social life and don’t even show up, too invested in their grades they don’t realize what’s going on around them, or just existing.
Everyone is surviving their own lives, no one is going to see you there at school and think anything of it, other than just another student.
Now, if it’s not the social aspect of it that you’re worried about, and you’re more nervous about the actual curriculum, there are answers to that as well.
The amount of study groups, teacher aid, student centers, at almost any college/school campus across the country is insane.
There is so much aid available, it is almost overwhelming! There’s even websites completely unrelated to your specific college that can help, such as Tutor.com.
Honestly, I totally get that you’re nervous and feel like there might be some judgement, or you would be way in over your head by going back to school.
But I truly believe you can do this!
Just take it one step at a time.
Hugs + Lashes,
Ellie + Caitlyn
