Are you happy?
It’s no big secret that everyone is a little stressed out these days. The World Health Organization even classifies stress as an epidemic.

While we can’t get rid of all of the things that cause us stress, being happy doesn’t have to seem like some impossible task – the trick is to maintain balance.
Do you need a little help finding your happiness in a world overcome with stress? We’ve got you, girl!
Here Are THE Five Tips For Happiness And How To Maintain Balance
1. Treat Your Body Right
First things first, you need to make sure you’re showing your body the love it deserves 💞.
Working out isn’t just for your physical health – it can also do wonders for your mental well-being. Hitting the gym or going for a nice walk for 30 minutes, three times a week is all it takes.

While downing a few Oreos is fine now and then, eating a lot of highly processed and sugary foods can wreak havoc on our bodies. Try to stick to healthy, natural foods as much as you can. And, make sure you get plenty of probiotics!
Look, you can’t control what happens every day – and you shouldn’t try to. If something comes up and you can’t get to the gym, don’t beat yourself up over it.
Take care of yourself when you can. Then, when life goes off the rails, you’ll be able to handle it that much better.
2. Vent It Out
We get it. You don’t want to burden your friends by dumping all of your complaints on them. While keeping everything bottled up may seem like the “ladylike” thing to do, it will only wind up wearing you down.
We’re going to let you in on a little secret; your friends love you and want you to be happy. So, if you have something bothering you, or you’ve been feeling a little extra stressed out lately, reach out and talk to someone.
A good vent session can do wonders for your mental health.
3. Go Off The Clock
Nowadays, the line between work life and home life can feel a little blurry. We put in overtime, work weekends, and regularly go above and beyond and treat it as if it’s the way things should be – but it isn’t.
Try to draw a hard line between work and the rest of your life.
Once you’re off the clock ⏰, that’s it – no more working. There’s more to life than work, and you deserve to take back your time.
4. Do A Social Media Detox
Social media is one of the most significant causes of the stress epidemic. And, odds are, you could us a break from it.
Try cutting your social media ties for at least a week.

After that, try limiting the amount of time scrolling through your socials. Or take the apps off your phone and only check your feeds on your computer.
If there’s an app that still causes you a lot of extra stress after your detox, you might want to consider deleting your account altogether.
5. Don’t Forget To Pamper Yourself
Whether it’s a soothing DIY facemask, a night in with a bottle of wine 🍷, or a little retail therapy, nothing beats pampering yourself a little.
Make sure you take time (at least once a week) to show yourself some extra love. A little pampering can go a long way when trying to find balance.
The Fine Art of Being Happy
Being happy isn’t something you can “achieve.”
Happiness is a fleeting emotional state. You can’t make yourself happy once and then stay that way for the rest of your life. There are going to be times when you’re unhappy, and there’s nothing you can do to stop that.
That said, by striking a healthy life balance, you can cut back on stress and the negatives in life and find and hold on to happiness a little more often.
